The Mission Statement of the Church of Hope
The mission God has given us is to preach the Gospel to the best of our understanding and ability to those that have not heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. That is Jesus Christ was God in the flesh, came to Earth, was crucified and died for our sin so we wouldn’t have to pay the price for our own disobedience toward God. He was resurrected after three days, ascended to heaven and sits at God’s right hand. He will come again. Through genuine repentance and confession of our sins, we may ask God for His forgiveness and with faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we will receive God’s gift of grace as our sin is washed away with the blood of Christ and we are granted salvation and everlasting life.
We look to be a church of healing. Everywhere we look we see people in pain. Whether emotional, physical, mental or spiritual pain, we seek God’s intervention for those suffering. Through God’s word, prayer and human agencies of His provision, we look to heal the pain that people are in as we help them to refocus their attention on Jesus Christ. Jesus’ ministry was filled with healing and forgiveness. We fully believe that God can and will respond to people in turmoil that seek Him, granting them the peace they crave while healing their wounds.
We look to provide the hope of Jesus Christ to those who are lost, Whether they are Christians that have lost their way, Christians that need what God has given us to provide or people that have never heard the Good News, acceptance of Jesus revives the spirit and provides new hope and new life for the troubled.
We look to obtain all of our teaching from the bible, the infallible Word of God. We further look to bring bible teaching to all that will accept. Such teaching must be taken in the context of the original scriptures. It is only in this manner that we will gain the proper understanding that will be given by the Holy Spirit. It is this understanding that we look to share with all people that seek the healing, hope and forgiveness that Jesus Christ so freely provides.
