Statement of Beliefs
- We believe in the concept of the triune God. One and only one God existing in three divine forms - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.
- We believe that God the Father is supreme and that God the Son and God the Holy Spirit speak, not on their own authority but only of what God the Father tells them to say.
- We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, came to Earth in the flesh fully God and fully man at the same time, was crucified and died paying the penalty for our sins so we wouldn’t have to pay that which we cannot pay.
- We believe that Jesus Christ was resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven where He sits at the Father’s right hand and that he will come again in power and glory.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the truth and the life and that people may only come to the Father through Jesus the son and that none may come to Jesus the Son unless called by the Father.
- We believe that upon heartfelt repentance, confession and asking forgiveness for our sin, God will freely and without hesitation grant His grace upon us.
- We believe that by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and by expressing faith in Him, we are granted the gift of salvation.
- We believe that salvation is a free gift from God. Accepting this free gift is the only way to enter the Kingdom of God. One will not enter the Kingdom by “being good enough” on their own.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit lives within each Christian.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit provides understanding, guidance, counseling, conviction and comforts those in pain.
- We believe that baptism is necessary for a Christian having been directed by Jesus Christ Himself.
- We believe in and practice baptism by immersion.
- We believe that God can and will speak through anyone to accomplish his purpose of teaching and bringing people to Jesus Christ whether that person is ordained or not.
- We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God.
- We believe that no one has a perfect understanding of Scripture. That understanding comes from the Holy Spirit and as we mature in faith and wisdom, our teachings must reflect this. As such we must correct any of our teachings and doctrine that are found to be in error to bring them into line with God’s Holy Word and purpose.
- We believe that we must live Christian lives as closely as we can to Scriptural truths.
- We believe that Christian life is active in the world and that Christians must reach out to the world.
- We believe that Satan and his demons are real and active in the world attempting to thwart God’s plan of salvation.
- We believe that God protects His children.
- We believe that there is absolute truth not relative truth and as such there is such a thing as right and wrong as taught through Scripture. We do not accept that truth is subjective. Both truth and conviction of the conscience for wrong doing come from the Holy Spirit.
